Elfreda Speed Bump Survey

 Elfreda Speed Bump Survey

ELFREDA RESIDENTS!

You may have received a flyer in your mailbox or door handle on New Year's Day from Councillor Parthi Kandavel's office regarding speed bumps on Elfreda Blvd. There has been some confusion about this initiative that I will try and clarify. Some residents approached the councillor's office a few months ago regarding speed reduction on Elfreda Blvd. City Transportation Staff did a study and found Elfreda warranted speed bumps. The councillor's office then attempted to survey the residents of Elfreda Blvd. with a flyer drop.  Although 18 people were in favour of speed bumps and 3 opposed, not enough households responded; they need at least half of the households to respond.

The second flyer was dropped on New Year's Day and resident's were asked to respond by January 7 so the item can go to Scarborough Community Council on January 14. If not enough residents respond then the issue will not go to Community Council and the process would have to start over again.

However you feel about this initiative I encourage you to have your voice heard and email the councillor with your response.

Have your voice heard!
To participate call or email the Councillor with your preference (yes to speed bumps, or no to speed bumps) by January 7, 2025.
