Danforth Gardens Traffic Infiltration Action Plan!
Have your voice heard and advocate to SAVE OUR STREETS by writing the local councillor and city planners.
1. Email, write and call Councillor Gary Crawford with the following message:
“Dear Councillor Crawford
As I resident of the Danforth Gardens Neighbourhood, I would like you to support the plan by the Scarborough Junction Community and Danforth Gardens Neighbourhood Association to stop traffic infiltration from the proposed development at 3431 St. Clair Ave. E. by installing a traffic light at Elfreda and St. Clair, erecting a “Right Turn Only” sign opposite to the condo driveway and construct a “bump out” or “lamb chop” to the south of the driveway to physically prevent left turns onto Elfreda Blvd.
I would like you to meet with both the SJC and DGNA and work together to implement these traffic mitigation measures to keep our streets safe for children playing, students walking, pedestrians and local traffic. Our streets are residential and not thoroughfares.
I would also ask you to hold a community meeting immediately to address this issue and the impact of the wave of development coming to our community in the next few years.”
